ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The government has signed an agreement with Chinese and local investors for building the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone in Thatta.
The Dhabeji Special Economic Zone will be completed under a public-private partnership model in second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The economic zone would serve as a major connectivity point for global trade routes as it locates near the ports of Karachi.
This special economic zone is also expected to emerge as a crucial hub for both local and international investors.
The imitative would also attract investment of $3 billion and create of thousands jobs.
The Chinese businesses have expressed their desire to expand their presence in the Dhabeji Special Economic Zone.
This agreement is considered a significant milestone in industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China for the revival of the national economy.
