KARACHI (Dunya News) – Gold prices jumped sharply across the country on Monday, pushing the precious metal to an all-time high and leaving buyers feeling the pinch.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola rose by Rs7,500, taking it to Rs489,362 in local markets. At the same time, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs6,431, reaching Rs419,549.

Market experts said the steady climb is being driven by ups and downs in global gold prices, the weakening of the rupee against the US dollar and overall economic uncertainty at home and abroad.

Traders in the bullion market noted that if the global trend continues, prices could move even higher in the coming days, keeping investors and consumers on their toes.
