DERA GHAZI KHAN (APP) - In a major crackdown against smuggling, Dera Ghazi Khan Police have seized wheat and flour worth over Rs441 million, foiling an illegal transportation attempt during the past two months.
The operation was conducted by Wahwa Police Station under the supervision of SHO Asmat Ullah. During the action, police took two vehicles into custody and recovered a huge quantity of smuggled commodities.
According to police officials, 2,240 metric tons of wheat were recovered, valued at approximately Rs 268.8 million, while 1,329 metric tons of flour, worth around Rs 172.8 million, were also seized.

Police have registered cases against the accused under relevant laws, and the confiscated goods have been handed over to the concerned authorities for further legal proceedings.
Police authorities reaffirmed their commitment to protecting public interests and stated that operations against smuggling and other crimes will continue without discrimination.
