KARACHI (Dunya News) – The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has reported that workers' remittances for January 2026 reached $3.5 billion, marking a significant 15.4% increase compared to January 2025.

Cumulatively, the total inflows during the first seven months of the fiscal year (July-January FY26) amounted to $23.2 billion, reflecting an 11.3% increase over the $20.9 billion received during the same period in FY25.

The highest remittance inflows in January 2026 came from Saudi Arabia at $739.6 million, followed by the United Arab Emirates with $694.2 million, the United Kingdom contributing $572.1 million, and the United States with $294.7 million.

The growth in remittances indicates a continued positive trend, with Pakistan's diaspora playing a crucial role in supporting the economy.
