KARACHI (Dunya News) - The weekly update of the Pakistan Stock Market shows a strong positive trend, as the KSE-100 index surged by 11 percent during the week following optimism over the Iran-US ceasefire.

During the business week, the KSE-100 index gained 16,792 points to close at 167,091 points.

Throughout the week, the index remained within a band of 20,518 points, reaching a high of 168,290 points and a low of 147,771 points.

A total of 3.3 billion shares were traded during the week, with transactions worth Rs203.6 billion recorded in the market.

However, the market capitalization declined by Rs1,748 billion over the week, settling at Rs18,473 billion.
