Pakistan expands Eurobond issuance to $750m on strong investor interest

Summary Pakistan issues 250 million dollar Eurobond under medium term program, raising total to 750 million, signaling renewed investor confidence globally.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Ministry of Finance announced that Pakistan has issued a Eurobond worth 250 million dollars in international financial markets.

According to the ministry, the latest issuance has increased the total volume of Eurobonds to 750 million dollars globally.

The bonds have been issued for a three-year period under a medium-term note program, reflecting renewed investor confidence in Pakistan’s economy.

Despite global tensions, the ministry stated that the issuance attracted strong interest from international investors.

Officials added that the move will further strengthen Pakistan’s presence in global bond markets. 

Khurram Schehzad, adviser to the finance minister, announced on April 17 that Pakistan has re-entered international capital markets after a four-year gap.

In a post on his official X account, he stated that Pakistan successfully raised $500 million through a Eurobond issued under its Global Medium-Term Note (GMTN) Programme on attractive terms
