ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The government has increased the rate of petroleum levy imposed on petroleum products following the latest hike in fuel prices.
According to official details, the levy on petrol and diesel has been increased by Rs13.91 per litre. After the increase, the petroleum levy on petrol has been fixed at Rs117.41 per litre.
The petroleum levy on high-speed diesel has been set at Rs42.60 per litre, while the freight margin on high-speed diesel has been reduced by Rs9.38 per litre. Following the reduction, the freight margin has been fixed at Rs7.75 per litre.
Earlier, the government had announced an increase in petroleum product prices. Under the notification, the price of petrol was raised by Rs14.92 per litre, while diesel prices were increased by Rs15 per litre.
After the increase, the new price of petrol has been fixed at Rs414.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now be available at Rs414.58 per litre.
