Trading opened on a positive note, with the benchmark index gaining more than 2,300 points during the initial phase of the session and reaching 179,536 points.

At the close of trading, the benchmark index settled at 180,014 points, recording a gain of 2,931 points from the previous session.
The strong recovery came after the KSE-100 Index had closed at 177,083 points on the previous trading day.
