Summary Pakistan’s KSE-100 Index gained 368 points on Wednesday to close at 169,969, recovering part of the previous session’s 825-point decline.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s stock market closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining 368 points amid a positive trading trend.

Trading remained positive throughout the session after the index opened on a firm note. The KSE-100 Index rose by 441 points at the start of trading, crossing the 170,000-point mark.

The upward momentum continued during the session, helping the benchmark index recover from the sharp decline recorded in the previous trading session.

At the close of business, the KSE-100 Index settled at 169,969 points, up 368 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the index had fallen by 825 points to close at 169,600 points, reflecting a sharp decline in the market.

Wednesday’s recovery brought the index close to the 170,000-point level, although it remained slightly below that psychological threshold at the end of trading.

Market activity reflected a generally positive sentiment among investors during the session, with the benchmark maintaining its gains through the trading day.
