KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) registered modest gains on Friday amid cautious trading.
The KSE-100 gained 75.88 points during intraday trading to reach 167,269.31 points, reflecting a positive change of 0.05 percent compared to previous close of 167,193.43 points.
A day earlier, the benchmark index surged by 1,456.68 points, a positive change of 0.88 percent, to close at 167,193.44 points against 165,736.76 points recorded in the previous trading session.
The ready market witnessed a trading volume of 816.834 million shares, compared to 578.124 million shares traded in the previous session, while the traded value increased to Rs 31.541 billion from Rs 26.203 billion.
Market capitalisation increased to Rs 18.492 trillion from Rs 18.329 trillion recorded a day earlier.
Out of 499 companies that traded in the ready market, 232 posted gains, 232 suffered losses, while 35 remained unchanged.
