LONDON (Haseeb Arslan) - Veteran actor Bushra Ansari has been honoured with Star of Pakistan Award by the UK Parliament.
She received the accolade during a prestigious event organised by the British parliament and with that, she became the first woman drama actor from Pakistan to get this honour.
MP Yasmin Qureshi gave the award to the senior actor as a host of the gathering organised by the British Asian Society and Samara Events UK.
Ansari received this award as part of honouring her in her incredible journey in Pakistani dramas and her commitment to the showbiz industry.
She also talked about the importance of Pakistani dramas in promoting Pakistani culture, attire, and the Urdu language in the UK and across the world.
“It is a privilege to receive this honour in such a prestigious setting,” she said.
"So happy to recieve the honor at British parliament today ! Thank you God," she wrote on Instagram.
