(Web Desk) - Danish Taimoor’s remakes regarding four marriages invite a debate, with some calling them unnecessary and out of context.

The controversy erupted during a special Ramazan transmission at a TV channel.

Danish, alongside former news anchor Rabia Anam, shared personal insights and offered guidance to viewers.

During a segment, Danish Taimoor stated that men are allowed to marry up to four times.

He added: “The permission to men for four marriages has been granted, but I am not doing it yet, that’s a different story.

“I won’t do it because I love and respect my wife, even though I still have the right.”

Danish previously mentioned that he is content with his marriage to Ayeza Khan and has no plans for another.

However, his latest remarks did not sit well with the audience.

Viewers criticised his statement, calling it unnecessary and self-centered, especially since it was made in front of his wife.

Social media users were quick to point out that four marriages are allowed under specific conditions, yet many men conveniently ignore those requirements.

A user commented: “Men always remember their right to marry four times, but they conveniently forget the conditions.”

Many felt that Danish Taimoor’s statement implied a sense of entitlement rather than responsibility.
Critics argued that his comment was embarrassing for Ayeza Khan and that discussing multiple marriages so casually in a public setting showed insensitivity.

One questioned: “Why even mention this when your wife is sitting right there? This was uncomfortable to watch.”

People flooded the internet with comments questioning the relevance of his statement, with some saying that such remarks only reinforce problematic mindsets.

While Danish Taimoor has not yet responded to the backlash, the debate continues across various platforms.

However, the majority opinion remains that such discussions should be handled with more care, especially on national television.

Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan, one of the most admired celebrity couples in Pakistan, tied the knot in 2014 and share two children.

Their marriage has often been praised for their strong bond and unwavering support for each other.
