Rajanpur wedding ceremony garners internet tractions
RAJANPUR (Dunya News) - An 80-year-old man has married a 40-year-old woman, half his age, in Rajanpur, with social media users sending them best wishes, and flooding the comment box with interesting remarks.
Retired teacher Mian Zafar-ud-Din tied the knot with his former secretary. It is his second marriage. The former teacher’s children from his first wife were on cloud nine to participate in wedding ceremony of their father.
"I am happy. I got my destination," said the bride dressed in traditional all-red wedding costume.
A video has gone viral showing the wedding guests dancing to the beat of drum along with the groom, who revealed no sign of weakness or ageing.
“Who says ageing does matter. It does not matter, when you have a live heart,” a social media user commented.
“Your passions, your emotions give you life. The loftier thinking you have, the greater target you will achieve. I don’t think getting married at the age of 80 is any adventure. It was teacher’s commitment to his passion, which paved the way for him to win his love,” another netizen said.
“First or second marriage at this old age is not common in our society. Normally, in old age men in our society give up to social pressure and avoid taking the step that is even legal and lawful," remarked another.
