Summary Veteran actress Bushra Ansari reacts to a viral impersonation video, saying past mimicry focused on respectful performance, while criticizing inappropriate portrayal in recent content.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Pakistani actress Bushra Ansari has expressed disappointment over a viral video in which her impersonation was recently shared on social media.

The issue came under discussion during a private TV program when the host asked her about the video and public reactions, with some suggesting there was nothing wrong as artists have historically done impersonations.

In response, Bushra Ansari said she would not praise herself but clarified that in the past she had impersonated respected singers such as Tahira Syed, Noor Jehan, Musarrat Nazir, and Salma Agha in a respectful manner, focusing only on their singing styles.

She stated that those performances were based on artistic expression without any disrespectful or inappropriate references to personal lives or character.

The actress further said that in her view, the recent impersonation did not meet professional standards and lacked proper artistic quality.

Bushra Ansari also recalled that she had previously appreciated actress Veena Malik for her impersonation of her, calling it a good performance.

She added that although she was encouraged to imitate singer Naheed Akhtar, she declined, saying she did not feel confident about doing justice to the performance and therefore chose not to proceed.
