KARACHI (Web Desk) - A 50-year-old man from Nawabshah has tested positive for mpox.
Hospital authorities said the patient was brought to Jinnah Hospital on Monday after developing symptoms of mpox. He was subsequently referred from Jinnah Hospital to the Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital.
Authorities said the patient also suffers from kidney disease and has been placed in quarantine. His condition is reported to be improving.
Health Department sources said 44 mpox cases have been confirmed in Sindh so far this year, including 15 patients from Karachi.
