No incidents of terrorism reported in province: Murad Ali Shah
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said on Friday that the provincial government had made foolproof security arrangements on the occasion of Ashura.
Speaking to media, Murad said: "Today I have come to review the security arrangements for the processions. By the grace of the Higher Power, no incidents of terrorism were reported in the province".
Murad said, "The terrorist activities have been brought under control with the use of modern technology."
Speaking about Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Murad asserted, "The media is appreciating the services of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) mayor."
On the other hand, the 9th of Muharram is being observed across the country today with due solemnity and sanctity to pay homage to the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) – the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) – and his companions in Karbala.
