MIANWALI (Dunya News) - A case has been registered against PTI workers for violating Section 144 in Mianwali on October 2.

According to police officials, a case has been filed at the City Police Station against 22 identified and 25 unidentified individuals for stone-pelting, firing on police, and breaching Section 144.

The FIR included charges under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) along with other provisions.

A police spokesperson stated that 10 individuals have already been arrested, and raids were being conducted to apprehend more identified suspects.

It is important to note that the Punjab government had imposed Section 144 in Mianwali for seven days, with an official notification issued.

The notification prohibited all forms of political gatherings, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations, and protests, effective from October 1 to October 7.
