LAHORE (MUHAMMAD ASHFAQ) - The Lahore High Court has fixed the petitions against the 2014 sit-ins by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for hearing after 10 years.

It should be noted that the LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has been taking practical steps to not only ensure timely justice but also focusing on the settling of old cases.

A three-member bench headed by the CJ which also include Justice Farooq Haider and Justice Tariq Nadeem would hear the case on October 10.

It merits mention here that in 2014, A K Dogar filed a plea that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri started the protests against the PML-N government from Lahore despite the court’s order otherwise.

It was adopted that both leaders committed contempt of court and therefore liable to be proceeded by the court.
