Daughters stated that they have not been able to meet their mother for three weeks.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Former Prime Minister Imran Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi’s daughters approached the court for permission to meet her.
Special Judge Central Islamabad, Shah Rukh Arjumand, has summoned a response from the Superintendent of Adiala Jail for tomorrow (Tuesday).
The request was filed through Barristers Salman Safdar and Khalid Yousaf Chaudhry.
In their petition, the daughters stated that they have not been able to meet their mother for three weeks.
They claimed that Bushra Bibi was unjustly imprisoned and was being deprived of her basic rights.
The petition emphasised that families have the right to visit their loved ones in prison every week.
The petitioners also noted that government officials have denied them access to their mother, which they argued, violated basic rights. They urged the court to arrange for the meeting as soon as possible.
The court subsequently issued a notice and adjourned the hearing until tomorrow.
