The MNA said that he went into hiding on the directions of Shah Mehmood Qureshi
MULTAN (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zain Qureshi said that a propaganda was disseminated against him on the constitutional amendment.
In his video message, the MNA from Multan said that he went into hiding on the directions of his father Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
“I wasn’t present in the National Assembly when the 26th amendment was passed. A fake news was disseminated against me,” he said.
I wasn’t part of this amendment as my father advised me not to support it, he added.
“I was tortured and my wife was abducted but I remained steadfast with the PTI,” Qureshi added.

The National Assembly and the Senate passed the amendment on Sunday night after days of wrangling between the treasury and opposition.
After the amendment was approved by both houses of parliament, the prime minister signed the advice to be sent to the president of Pakistan for ratification.
It may be recalled that after the implementation of the amendment, the chief justice of Pakistan would be picked by a parliamentary committee.
