Karachi court acquits Karsaz accident suspect in murder case

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A Karachi court on Thursday acquitted Natasha Baig in a murder case filed against her in connection with the Karsaz Road accident.
A hearing of the Karsaz traffic accident case took place at the Additional District and Sessions Court in Karachi East, where the accused was acquitted following a settlement with the deceased's family.
On August 19, a speeding car driven by Natasha collided with three motorcycles and a car on Karsaz Road, resulting in the deaths of 60-year-old Imran Arif and his 22-year-old daughter Amna.

Natasha obtained bail in the manslaughter case from a sessions court on Sept 6.
In a separate drug case, after her bail pleas were twice rejected by lower courts, she appealed to the Sindh High Court, which granted bail against surety bonds of Rs1 million.
