ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Days after formation of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) in line with the draft of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the most important ally of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) expressed it reservations over representation of the PPP in the JCP.
According to sources, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari conveyed his message to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for addressing the pertaining issue.
Sources said the PPP chairman told the PM that the PML-N reneged on the promises made during the passage of the 26th Constitutional Amendment with regards to formation of the JCP.
The PPP insiders said central executive committee of the PPP would decide the future course of action after the return of Bilawal to Pakistan, adding that the CEC would call the shots regarding PPP’s position on staying with the government or leaving it.
