KP government announces special Ramazan package for needy families

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a special Ramazan package to support deserving families during the holy month.
According to the provincial cabinet’s decision, each eligible family would receive a cash grant of Rs10,000 during Ramazan. A total of 5,000 families from each of the 115 constituencies across the province would be selected to benefit from this initiative.
The government has assigned various departments the task of identifying deserving families. The distribution process would begin in the first 10 days of Ramazan, with beneficiaries receiving cheques worth Rs10,000.
In total, an estimated Rs8 billion would be distributed under this package. The monitoring of the distribution process would be carried out directly from the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar to ensure transparency and efficiency.
