Says democracy was undermined by using Form 47
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government, Barrister Saif on Monday stated that the government was attempting to extend its rule through black laws.
In a statement, Saif said that the Pakistan Electronic Media Prevention Act (PECA) and the 26th Amendment were an attempt to provide protection for rigging the elections on February 8.
He further stated that on February 8, voices would be raised against the illegal tactics, including the PECA Act and the 26th Amendment.
He mentioned that on February 8, democracy was undermined by using the Form 47, adding that the government was passing black laws through an incomplete parliament.
Furthermore, he extended an invitation to journalists and people from all sectors and ideologies to participate in the protest on February 8.
