Punjab to be transformed into international tourism hub

A comprehensive tourism policy has also been finalised
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has decided to develop the province into a regional and international centre for history, culture, and tourism.
Under this initiative, 170 historical sites will be upgraded to world-class tourist destinations.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has approved the establishment of the Punjab Tourism and Heritage Authority, which will oversee all tourism-related institutions.
A comprehensive tourism policy has also been finalised.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has included a three-phase restoration plan in the Annual Development Programme, with tender starting in July.

The project includes developing Taxila as an international tourist city, upgrading Taxila Museum, restoring 46 inactive gurdwaras, and modernising Chhanga Manga into Swiss-style recreational site.
