MQM-H chief Afaq Ahmed released on bail

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi (MQM-H) chief Afaq Ahmed was on Tuesday released from prison on bail in connection with inciting people to set dumpers and containers on fire in different part of Karachi.
Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi Chairman Afaq Ahmed was arrested on February 11 for inciting people to violence, leading to the registration of cases against him and later he was sent to prison on judicial remand by a judicial magistrate.
The Additional District and Sessions Judge (West) approved bail in the case registered at Surjani Town police station against surety bonds of Rs. 1 million, ordering Afaq Ahmed’s release if he is not wanted in any other case.
Sources revealed that Afaq Ahmed was taken into custody from Karachi's Defence area in a case related to arson instigation after several heavy vehicles were torched following his press conference against traffic accidents.
According to police, his incitement led to the burning of cargo trucks, which resulted in his arrest.
