KP govt releases performance report, highlights achievements in 25 sectors

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has released its performance report for the past year, detailing achievements across 25 sectors.
According to the report, 25 cabinet meetings were held, resulting in 232 policy decisions. The government cleared Rs. 78 billion in outstanding dues and established a Rs. 70 billion Debt Management Fund to enhance financial autonomy.
The report highlighted that Rs. 28 billion was spent on food security, while a project to provide free solar systems to 130,000 citizens was launched. The Billion Tree Plus Tsunami project is also underway, expected to increase forest cover by 12%.
The government has set a target of achieving a Rs. 100 billion surplus budget this year. Mineral royalties increased by 200% last year, and revenue from provincial resources is projected to reach Rs. 100 billion next year. Additionally, Rs. 20 billion was spent on wheat procurement, and Rs. 3 billion was allocated as a subsidy for the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system.
