President Zardari summons Senate session today

The Senate Secretariat has issued a 14-point agenda for session
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the Senate session, which will be held today (Thursday) at the Parliament House in Islamabad.
The session will be held at 11:30am.
According to a notification issued by the Senate Secretariat, the session has been convened under Article 54(1) of the Constitution of Pakistan.
Sources said the Senate Secretariat had issued a 14-point agenda for the session. The Upper House is expected to take up key agenda items, including question hours, calling attention notices, and legislative business.
As per the agenda, the Civil Courts (Amendment) Bill, 2025, and the Pakistan Coast Guards (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will be moved for approval during today’s session. The Special Technology Zones Authority (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will also be passed during the session.
The Standing Committee on Law and Justice chairman will present report on the Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2024 (Amendment of Article 106).
Furthermore, calling attention notices regarding killing of passengers belonging to Punjab travelling from Balochistan after checking their identity cards and the alarming increase in HIV cases in the country are also part of agenda.
