KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Wednesday presented the government's one-year performance report.

A ceremony was held to mark the completion of one year of the Sindh government, attended by provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, assembly members, bureaucrats, and representatives of civil society.

Addressing the event, Murad Ali Shah said that their actions align with the leadership's vision. He said that the Sindh government focused on digitalization, highlighting that while technology was outdated during their student days, times have changed.

He mentioned that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari launched the "Hari Card," registering farmers digitally. Over the past year, the government provided Rs28 billion to farmers and graduated 13,428 students.

Murad Ali Shah revealed that in one year, the Sindh government introduced 196 new road schemes, constructing a total of 2,500 kilometers of roads. Additionally, 14 government buildings have been solarized, reducing electricity consumption by 80%, he added.

He stated that an agreement with a company ensured every wheat bag was checked, and the current stock is of high quality.

The chief minister announced that the Sindh government would not purchase wheat this year, as they already have 1.3 million tons in stock.

Murad Ali Shah also shared that 1.1 million bank accounts have been opened, and 400,000 houses have been completed. The World Bank’s Board of Directors visited and deemed the project highly transparent, he mentioned.
