Youm-e-Ali: Holiday in Sindh on March 22

The martyrdom day (Youm-e-Ali) of fourth pious caliph is observed on 21st of Ramazan
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh government has announced a holiday for all educational institutions for March 22 across the province on account of Youm-e-Ali.
The School Education Department said all public and private schools will remain closed on March 22 to mark the day.
The martyrdom day (Youm-e-Ali) of fourth pious caliph of Islam, Ali ibn Abi Talib, is observed on 21st Ramazan across the country with great devotion and reverence.
Hazrat Ali suffered fatal injuries in an attack by a Kharijite dissident Ibn Muljim on 19th Ramazan in 40 AH (661 CE) while going to say Fajr prayer in Iraqi city Kufa. He embraced martyrdom on 21st of Ramazan.
