President, PM express deep sorrow over Gul Plaza fire incident, order maximum relief for victims

Shehbaz Sharif stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the government’s top priority
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic fire incident at Gul Plaza, located on M.A. Jinnah Road in Karachi on Sunday, and ordered that all possible assistance be provided to the affected people.
Expressing grief on the tragic incident, President Zardari conveyed condolences for the loss of precious human lives, extending heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families.
The president said that the Sindh government and relevant authorities should provide immediate and all possible assistance to the affected individuals and traders, and that no effort should be spared in providing the injured with the best possible medical facilities.

Prime Minister Shehbaz ordered that the injured be provided with immediate and best medical treatment, and instructed the concerned departments to accelerate rescue and relief operations.
The premier stated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property is the government’s top priority, and all necessary measures must be ensured in this regard.
He also directed that maximum relief be provided to the affected traders and other victims, and emphasized that all relevant departments should cooperate fully in the rescue operation. He added that the government shares the grief of the families of the deceased.
The premier also expressed prayers and best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
INTERIOR MINISTER NAQVI
Meanwhile, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also expressed sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Gul Plaza fire incident. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and said that the government stands with the victims.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon said that the Gul Plaza fire was a very unfortunate incident and the government shares the grief of the families of the deceased. He added that the government machinery has been present since last night and is making efforts to extinguish the fire.
Sharjeel Memon further stated that there was no issue regarding the supply of water or foam, and if any negligence is found on the part of the concerned departments, action will be taken. He said that a fact-finding report will determine the outcome and responsible persons will be held accountable.
