KP Ramadan package delayed due to lack of digital system; public representatives to collect data. 13 billion PKR to benefit 116,394 eligible individuals, distribution expected soon.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s much-anticipated Ramadan Package has yet to commence due to the absence of a digital distribution system.
Sources said that the responsibility for identifying eligible beneficiaries has temporarily been delegated to public representatives.
These representatives will collect data on deserving individuals and submit it to the Social Welfare Department, after which the Ramadan package will be distributed.
The selection of beneficiaries, including orphans, widows, and persons with disabilities, will also be conducted by local representatives.
Officials warn that the data collection process may take several more days, further delaying distribution.
