LAHORE (Dunya News) – The two-year performance report of the Punjab Assembly has been officially released, outlining legislative activity and parliamentary proceedings during the period.

According to the report, the Assembly convened 38 sessions over the past two years, during which 154 sittings were held.

In terms of legislation, 110 government bills were introduced, of which 97 were successfully passed. Additionally, 59 private members’ bills were tabled, with 47 receiving approval. Overall, a total of 169 bills were presented before the House, and 144 were enacted.

The report further states that 129 privilege motions were submitted during the two-year span. Of these, 87 were referred to committees, while only nine were disposed of.

Lawmakers also submitted 1,189 adjournment motions, with 565 addressed. Meanwhile, 650 resolutions were moved in the Assembly, but just 124 were adopted.

Parliamentary oversight was reflected in the 5,924 questions raised by members; however, only 1,494 were answered. Similarly, 407 call-attention notices were submitted, with 76 receiving official responses.

The performance report provides a detailed account of legislative productivity, scrutiny, and parliamentary engagement within the Punjab Assembly over the past two years.
