ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The district administration in Islamabad has enforced Section 144, prohibiting all forms of public gatherings and sealing the Red Zone amid ongoing protests in the federal capital.

According to officials, Section 144 remains in effect across the city, and any assembly, protest, or demonstration will be treated as unlawful. Authorities warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators.

The administration urged citizens to refrain from participating in any public gathering, emphasizing that the ban applies to all forms of protests and demonstrations without exception.
Protests broke out in Islamabad following reports of the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel.

A large number of demonstrators gathered at Serena Chowk to express their outrage.

Police placed containers on roads leading to Serena Chowk, effectively blocking access to the area.

Prison vans were also deployed at the site as security measures were intensified.

Authorities said the steps were taken to maintain law and order and prevent any untoward incident in the capital.
