KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, on Friday approved Phase II of the Karachi Safe City Project, Dunya News reported.
Murad Ali Shah stated that the Safe City project is extremely important for public safety and crime prevention. He said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the government’s top priority, and security measures will be made more effective with the help of modern technology.
The Chief Minister said that the project will further enhance the city’s security, surveillance, and the capacity of law enforcement agencies. Effective use of technology is a key requirement of the modern era, he said.
He further said that under Phase II of Karachi Safe City Project, more than 2,300 smart cameras will be installed across Karachi.
