Summary Islamabad authorities have allowed markets and shops to reopen citywide after temporary closures due to security arrangements for visiting foreign dignitaries.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Authorities in Islamabad have granted permission to reopen business centres across most parts of the federal capital, officials confirmed on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon stated that all markets and shops are now allowed to resume normal business activities throughout the city.
Speaking to a private TV channel, he clarified that the permission applies to all areas except along specific routes on the Expressway, where restrictions will remain in place.
He added that the earlier decision to close markets was taken due to the presence of foreign dignitaries in the capital, necessitating heightened security measures.
With the situation stabilised, authorities have now eased restrictions, allowing commercial activity to return to normal.
