Summary The Iranian ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam further stated that as long as the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues, the situation of tension and risk will also persist
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, while referring to the Strait of Hormuz blockade by the United States, said that claims of diplomacy alongside a blockade are unacceptable.
In a statement, he said that one cannot present themselves as a proponent of diplomacy merely through statements while continuously violating international laws, further tightening Strait of Hormuz blockade, threatening Iran with more attacks, and insisting on unreasonable demands.
The Iranian ambassador further stated that as long as the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues, the situation of tension and risk will also persist.
It may be recalled that Moghadam had praised Pakistan in a message on X on April 17 for "intensive diplomatic initiatives to create the ground for joint and coordinated efforts to achieve lasting peace, collective security, and development in the region and beyond."
He stressed that mutual trust, goodwill, respect, and practical will to act are key factors in narrowing differences and achieving broader regional goals.
