ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Reza Amiri Moghadam, Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing US-Iran tensions, the broader regional situation, and prospects for dialogue.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Ishaq Dar and the premier’s adviser Tariq Fatemi were also present during the meeting.
Sources said the prime minister encouraged the Iranian envoy to support and participate in the next phase of negotiations aimed at reducing tensions between Iran and the United States, underscoring the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement.

Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that constructive dialogue remains the most viable path toward regional stability and urged Iran to play an active role in the second round of talks.

The Iranian ambassador, according to sources, appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives in facilitating dialogue and promoting a peaceful resolution to the dispute. He also acknowledged Islamabad’s willingness to host negotiations between the two sides.
The prime minister conveyed his good wishes to Mojtaba Khamenei, reflecting Pakistan’s intent to maintain constructive and cooperative relations with Iran’s leadership.
