ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and dry weather across most parts of the country during next 24 hours with chances of isolated rain-windstorm and thunderstorms in upper regions.

The upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are likely to experience partly cloudy conditions with isolated rain and gusty winds.

In the federal capital Islamabad, hot and dry weather is expected to persist.

Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will remain hot and dry. However, upper districts including Dir, Chitral, Swat, Malam Jabba, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Bajaur, Khyber and Parachinar may witness partly cloudy weather with isolated rain-wind and thunderstorms.

In Punjab, plain areas are expected to remain hot and dry, while Murree and Galliyat may receive light rain accompanied by thunderstorms.

Sindh will continue to experience hot and dry conditions, whereas Balochistan is likely to remain dry, with temperatures staying high in southern districts. Partly cloudy weather with isolated light rain-wind and thunderstorms is also forecast for Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
