KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chief Minister of Sindh Murad Ali Shah met with Denmark’s Ambassador, Maja Derrous Mortensen on Friday and discussed bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities in renewable energy and development sectors.
The Chief Minister informed the Danish ambassador about investment opportunities in Sindh. The ambassador expressed interest in the Sindh government’s development vision. Environmental protection and the promotion of clean energy were also discussed during the meeting, along with detailed talks on investment in the wind energy projects.
Murad Ali Shah said that the Sindh government is working on projects to provide affordable electricity across the province, which will bring relief to the public and ensure industrial growth.
Both leaders also discussed coastal development, particularly Keti Bandar, which the Chief Minister described as an area of historical significance and expressed commitment to developing it into a modern port.
He added that the development of Keti Bandar port would reduce pressure on Karachi’s ports and could become an important economic hub in the future. The Danish ambassador also termed the project significant for regional trade.
