NAROWAL (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Planning and Development and senior PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal on Sunday stressed the need to promote dialogue to eliminate the culture of hatred and violence.

Addressing a press conference in his hometown constituency of Narowal, Ahsan Iqbal said that an international conference titled "Narowal Peace Dialogue" will be held on May 5 and 6, with 20 international delegates, including a former Prime Minister of Morocco, expected to attend.

He said that on May 6, 2018, a youth influenced by extremism attempted to take his life, after which national conferences were initiated to promote peace in the country and prevent extremism.

Ahsan Iqbal stated that such national conferences are necessary because the entire world appears to be affected by hatred and extremism, and the aim of the conference is to promote peace and tolerance.

Federal Minister for Planning and Development further said that everyone must play their role in the country’s development.
