Summary Karachi administration announced action against dumping sacrificial animal waste on roads during Eidul Azha and formed vigilance committees.

KARACHI (Web Desk) - Karachi Commissioner has announced strict action against people found dumping or tearing apart sacrificial animal waste on roads and open spaces during Eidul Azha.

The decision was taken during a meeting held at the Commissioner Office regarding arrangements for the collection and disposal of animal remains after sacrificial rituals.

The meeting, chaired by the Karachi commissioner, decided that legal action would be taken against violators involved in throwing animal waste on roads and public areas.

Officials also decided to establish vigilance committees in all districts under the supervision of assistant commissioners to monitor cleanliness operations and ensure timely collection of animal waste.

The committees will oversee sanitation arrangements and coordinate with local authorities during Eidul Azha.

The meeting further decided to prevent the dumping and tearing apart of animal remains on roads and to register FIRs against violators where necessary.

Authorities also announced that citizens would be able to register complaints related to animal waste through Commissioner Karachi Rescue 1299.
