Director General PDMA Umar Javed advised citizens to wear light-coloured cotton and loose-fitting clothes while outdoors and to use caps or umbrellas to protect themselves from direct sunlight. He also stressed that children and elderly people should remain indoors during peak heat hours.

The spokesperson further directed citizens to check tyre pressure and radiator water levels before travelling. People were also urged to use water carefully to avoid shortages during the extreme heat.
