LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has extended heartfelt Eidul Azha greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah, saying the religious festival promotes the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, love, and humanity.

In her Eid message, Maryam Nawaz said every Muslim who follows the great Sunnah of Ibrahim by offering sacrifice deserves respect and appreciation. She added that Eidul Azha teaches believers to sacrifice personal desires for the pleasure of Allah and to include underprivileged people in the celebrations.

The Punjab chief minister also paid tribute to personnel of the Pakistan Armed Forces deployed on the country’s borders, stating that the nation would always remember the sacrifices of its brave soldiers.

She further appreciated officers and workers engaged in cleanliness drives and other public services during Eid days, commending their efforts and dedication.

Maryam Nawaz also expressed solidarity with the families of martyrs, saying the nation remains indebted to the sacrifices made by the martyrs and their loved ones.

In her message, she also paid tribute to all those martyred due to Israeli aggression, including young female students, and appealed to the international community to raise its voice in support of oppressed people around the world.
