Summary PML-N President Nawaz Sharif arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan on a one-day visit and is scheduled to meet party leaders and election candidates ahead of the polls.

GILGIT (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Gilgit-Baltistan on a one-day visit, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with party leaders and candidates contesting the upcoming regional elections.

A number of senior party figures accompanied Nawaz Sharif during the visit, including federal ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Ahsan Iqbal and Rana Sanaullah. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Senator Anusha Rahman and Kazim Pirzada were also part of the delegation.

Upon arrival in Gilgit, the PML-N president was received by Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Engineer Amir Muqam, former Gilgit-Baltistan chief minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman, Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar and other party leaders.

During his stay, Nawaz Sharif is expected to meet senior party representatives and candidates who are contesting the Gilgit-Baltistan elections on PML-N tickets.

The visit comes as political parties intensify their activities in the region ahead of the elections, with party leadership engaging candidates and local representatives as part of campaign efforts.
