ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports has made significant progress on launching a doorstep passport delivery service aimed at providing citizens with enhanced convenience.

The development came during a meeting chaired by DG Immigration and Passports Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where new standard operating procedures (SOPs) for passport delivery were finalised.

Officials also approved plans to introduce a door-to-door passport delivery system, allowing citizens to receive passports at their homes.

The meeting reviewed progress on a new digital passport application and tracking mobile app, with authorities directing faster implementation of online application processing, tracking systems, and digital payment integration.

Emphasis was placed on expanding e-services to reduce the need for citizens to visit passport offices.

The DG Immigration and Passports reiterated the department’s commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services through modern technology.

He said the priority is to ensure fast, easy, and accessible passport services for the public from home.
