ISLALAMAD (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senator Taj Muhammad Afridi was killed in a traffic accident near Swabi while travelling on the Peshawar Motorway.

According to Motorway Police, the tragic accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the former senator went out of the driver's control and plunged off the road. Preliminary information suggested that a mechanical fault caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

Taj Afridi died in the accident, while the driver sustained injuries. Officials said the former senator was travelling from Islamabad to Peshawar at the time of the incident.

Motorway Police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and launched relief operations. Authorities said rescue efforts were underway following the accident.
