HYDERABAD (Web Desk) — A government school in Hyderabad has been shortlisted among the world’s best schools, earning international recognition for its contribution to education, student welfare and community development.
The World’s Best School Prizes, organised by global education organisation T4 Education, recognise schools worldwide that demonstrate outstanding achievements in improving education standards, supporting students and creating positive social impact.
The awards are considered among the most prestigious global recognitions in the education sector, with only selected institutions reaching the final stage from thousands of applications submitted by schools across the world.
This year, only two schools from Pakistan have been shortlisted for the prestigious honour, including one private school from Punjab and a government school from Sindh.
The Government Girls Lower Secondary School Tando Mir Ghulam Hussain, located in Hyderabad, Sindh, has secured a place among the top 10 global finalists in the Community Collaboration category of the World’s Best School Prizes 2026.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah congratulated the school administration, principal, teachers, students, parents and local community, saying the achievement was not only a success for one school but also a matter of pride for Sindh’s education system, government schools and Pakistan.
