Summary Another school building collapsed in Lahore's Baghbanpura area, killing one child and injuring four, days after the deadly Kahna collapse.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – A child was killed and four others were injured after an under-construction building suddenly collapsed in Lahore's Baghbanpura area near Women College Road on Wednesday.
According to Rescue 1122, the building's roof, which had been constructed using TR girders, unexpectedly gave way, trapping several people beneath the debris.
Rescue teams launched an immediate operation and pulled five injured individuals from the rubble before shifting them to a nearby hospital.
However, one child lost his life after being trapped under the collapsed structure.
Emergency responders remain at the site, where search and rescue operations are continuing to ensure no one else is buried under the debris. Authorities said the situation in the area has been brought under control.
The latest incident comes just days after the deadly building collapse in Lahore's Kahna area, where multiple people lost their lives and several others were injured, raising fresh concerns over construction safety standards and the enforcement of building regulations in the city.
