SWAT (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Friday constituted a two-member high-level inquiry committee to investigate the Saifullah Lake boat capsizing incident in Swat.
According to an official notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Secretary for Inter-Provincial Coordination Muhammad Ayaz will head the committee, while Special Secretary Finance Zubair Ahmad will serve as its member.
The notification states that the committee will examine all aspects of the boat accident. It has the authority to seek assistance from experts and obtain records from the relevant government departments. The inquiry committee has been directed to submit its recommendations to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government within seven days.
The boat involved in the accident was carrying seven members of the same family from Lahore. Rescue teams recovered the bodies of six victims, while a 17-year-old girl remains missing. A rescue operation is still underway to locate her.
